Animal Traps
Although you can technically for weeks without food, you’re going to start feeling weak after just a few days. And in a survival situation, you want to make sure you have enough energy to not just stay alive, but to actively improve your changes of rescue. Foraging for food can work in some areas, but it can also be very time consuming. If you have the skills and materials, setting up traps can yield more food for less work.
Note that the following has been heavily sourced from an article originally published by Field and Stream.
3 Tips for Building Animal Traps
You can significantly improve the chances your trap will work if you plan accordingly. Animals follow patterns and understanding these patterns can go a long way to helping you acquire a meal.

Getting Rid of Fleas in the Home
If you have maybe noticed your cat or dog scratching or twitching whilst awake (or asleep) more often than usual, I think that you might be wise to give them a once over in case they have some unwanted tiny visitors. The last thing that you want is to find yourself getting rid of fleas in the home which is what can end up happening if you do not nip the problem in the bud really quickly.
Although it is not the nicest of things to 1. Have to think about 2. Deal with, it kind of goes with the territory of being a pet owner. It really does not have anything to do with lack of hygiene or cleanliness in the short term. The bottom line is that fleas love warm blood to feast on and so that makes your cat or dog (or even you) a prime target for a meal unfortunately.
Homemade Remedy for Termites
RE: Homemade Remedy for Termites By Dutch 1962 (68) Profile Contact I don’t recommend home remedies for termites just as much as I don’t connect 220 electric to my home. If you need to be convinced– termites eat about 6 inches of a 2×4 every 6 months. That could be a lot of damage by the time your fumbling through something you are not an expert in or have the tools. I mean no disrespect. Check out; http://pestcemetery.com/severe-term … amage-how-fast-do-termites-eat-wood/ it might open your eyes to home remedies and termite control. Good Luck

Pest Warehouse: Pest Repellers
Pest repellers have been on the market now for around 10 years so they have been put to the test in many situations. No matter what the professional pest control servicing companies say Pest repellers do seem to work on a variety of pests and they are very popular with home owners as they give a completely non toxic pest control option.
There are two types of Pest repellers on the market and I will talk about bout both then you can decide which one if any you use. The first one is the Ultra sonic Pest repeller which works by emitting a high frequency sound which is not audible to humans. This creates a harsh environment for the pests to live in and therefore they move on. It works on rodents and many insects so be aware if you have pets such as hamsters it will affect them. The limitations of these type of pest repellers is that ultrasonic sound does not travel through object and this is a major drawback. Say for instance you have mice in your kitchen nesting under your units, the ultrasonic repeller will not penetrate into these places or in other situations such as in an attic the ultrasonic sound will be blocked from travelling by any object such as Christmas decorations you are storing up there.

Ear Mites
Introduction
A common problem in cats is ear mites, especially in young cats. These mites can cause significant discomfort, fortunately most cats rapidly respond to treatment. Those that do not should be investigated for underlying problems.
Cause
Ear mites are caused by a parasite. The most common one we encounter in cats is Otodectes. It is spread by contact, and is especially prevalent in outdoor cats.

How do I get rid of wasps around my house?
Wasps will either make a nest inside some enclosed area (in an old tree stump, an old gopher hole, etc.), or they’ll make one of mud or paper in places like under the eaves of houses. And, they’ll just continue to multiply and the nest will continue to grow until you kill it.
First, you have to find the nest. If it’s underground, this can be difficult. But, check under all the eaves, overhangs, porch covers, etc. If you find it, you can kill all the wasps with a wasp and hornet spray (and it sounds like you have wasps) at any home improvement store. It comes in a fairly large spray can that shoots a stream about 20 feet, so you can shoot the nest from a distance.
